I've spent years photographing wildlife at zoos, at wildlife refuges, and in my own backyard. Wolves, lions, birds that leave the second you raise a camera. None of them take direction. You learn to wait, and you learn that the moment you're after usually comes a few seconds after you thought it would.I bring that to pet sessions. Your dog isn't going to sit still because I asked nicely, and I'm not going to settle for a photo that's technically fine but doesn't look like them.
